Tooth extraction.. Good luck, bad luck
At breakfast Hilary cracked a tooth vertically (perhaps weakened by cold). There was no other option than extraction. The only problem was that the storm had started and the road was getting blocked by snow. We located a dentist 40km down the valley, but there is no way we could get a taxi with the weather.Fortunately, Maria, who worked at the cabin said she would help. We dug her car out of the snow and phoned the snow plough drivers. After half an hour the snow ploughs arrived and we had one in front and one behind as they escorted us down the road until the weather improved. The very professional female dentist confirmed it would have to come out after an X-ray. She completed the extraction very skilfully.Returning to the cabin, we had to rejoin a convoy with 2 snow ploughs. If the problem had occurred tomorrow it would have been a much bigger problem as the road will almost certainly be closed as the incoming storm intensifies. The location we are in is probably one of the best for such a thing to happen, because in a few days we will be far from dental help.Hilary was very stoical.http://www.weatherised.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/28-Jan.jpg
